Thunderchild-Shogun Variant

Hello this is my first uploaded MOC so yea…please give comments and feedback!

This particular Thunderchild (named after the warship from H.G. Wells War of the Worlds) project is sort of a culmination of years of MOCing offline and also a testbed for a study for creating larger MOCs.

The model itself is very stable, as you can see from the top right corner photos where I made that bunch of other things stand/perch on it in a harlem shake kinda thing.

Articulation wise, the arm cannons are capable of very slight movements while it can lift a leg without toppling over. It is a mobile artillery emplacement.

The design concept I was pursuing in this model was to evoke the sense of seeming invincibility and power from its namesake. (The thunder child as she charged the martian war machines) The model is also industrial; in the sense that this is a machine built for war and similarly has a much less polished design than a ceremonial piece.

However saying that, it is worth mentioning that this is the shogun variant of the Thunderchild. The standard version basically lacks the dorsal artillery, the ‘shogun crown’ antiaircraft battery and two frontal plates of armor. In effect the shogun variant is designed to not just perform, but also to impress a sense of dread and mortality upon its targets.

Within the bionicle universe, I think I can reasonably propose this project originating from the nynrah ghosts after their expertise and experience in designing and constructing exo-toa, bohrok and etc.
